Grape Variety : 100 % Chardonnay
Chardonnay grapes are cultivated in a place called "Oberthal ", which means the "upper valley", located just behind the rock of the Horn, at a higher altitude than the vineyard of Wolxheim, which is very favourable to this grape variety. The marly limestone soil makes this a strong wine for a sparkling wine. However, the opening of the valley toward the East, favours slightly fresher air and thus preserves excellent acidity, highly sought after in great sparkling wines.
Its bubbles are fine and persistently foamy. The nose opens on notes of white flowers and apple. On the palate, this elegantly lively bubbly presents a bouquet of crunchy fruit with notes of brioche: a long lasting and full-bodied sparkling wine.
Food and wine pairing : Apéritif, some meals.
